The whole process took less than 3-4 minutes from unboxing to testing to mounting the unit. I do want to state that this new KN-COSM-IBA unit has a slightly different warning /alarm pattern for Smoke, Carbon Monoxide, Low Battery and End Of Life than the older KN-COSM-IB and it is explained in the new owners manual. Important: Please take a few minutes to thoroughly read this user’s guide which should be saved for future reference and passed on to any subsequent owner.
